JAMES HENRY's writing career began when he joined the writing team for SMACK THE PONY (Talkback/Ch4), leading to the Bafta award winning comedy series GREEN WING and CAMPUS, and co-writing ITV sitcom THE DELIVERY MAN.

He has written regularly for many animated childrens' series, including SHAUN THE SHEEP (Aardman/BBC), CANIMALS (Aardman), SCHOOL OF ROARS (CBeebies), HEY DUGGEE (StudioAKA/CBeebies), written additional material for SHAUN THE SHEEP MOVIE: FARMAGEDDON, and is developing a number of original series, including family sitcom THE HOWES and PIRATES VERSUS NANNIES,an original feature for BBC Studios. He was lead writer and script editor on the Cornwall-based Radio 4 sketch show WASSON CORNWALL, and has written for ITV's PIGLETS and the GREEN WING: RESUSCITATED podcast.

James's first novel PAGANS, a police procedural set in an alternate UK is available from Feb 27th, 2025: available here
